The Creative Services Coordinator plays an integral role in the Office of Marketing & Communications, owning the logistics of a steady workload of projects as well as producing creative assets in partnership with our lead designer, freelancers, vendors, and colleagues. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Creative Services.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Collaborates with the Director of Creative Services to conceive, produce, and prioritize creative projects
Intakes project requests from College partners
Manages advertising deliverables
Documents and tracks project deliverables, schedules, and approvals
Liaises with freelancers and vendors, and submits invoices for completed work
Manages student workers as needed
Books and manages photographers and owns the photography schedule
Oversees and manages an extensive photo library, ensuring proper uploading, tagging, and accessibility
Curates galleries and pulls photos as requested, and/or trains colleagues to access and search the photo archive
Learns, administers, and trains others (as appropriate) on systems and accounts managed by Creative Services, including MailChimp, Libris, Canva, ReviewStudio, Airtable, iStockPhoto, etc.
Stays current on cost-effective technology solutions to support and enhance creative work
Creates and revises templates in email marketing programs such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, and Blackbaud NetCommunity
Our office welcomes applicants who come to the table with diverse creative interests they’d like to contribute to our work, including experience with and passion for one or more of the following:
Video production, video editing, motion graphics
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage up and at all levels to keep projects moving
Experience managing and developing client-based creative projects, preferably but not exclusively in a higher education setting
Familiarity with a variety of project management, communications, and creative applications and systems
Competence in Adobe design programs including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Awareness of digital marketing best practices including social media, email marketing, online advertising, etc.
Experience creating templates and campaigns in email marketing systems (coding experience not expected; basic HTML knowledge preferred)
Positive attitude and friendly demeanor under pressure
