Your day.

As a Clinical Dietitian, you need to know how to:

• Plan and coordinate age appropriate care including general nutrition (visits, monitoring, medical records, and office records), Food/Drug interaction, and recommendations for referrals to other disciplines.
• Provide aggressive nutrition intervention appropriate for age and/or developmental stage and provide follow-up for continuity of care with ongoing evaluations and documentation including assessments, reassessments, and recommendations including NPO. 
• Counsel and instruct patients and/or caregivers providing written instruction materials. 
• Evaluate and document patient and/or caregiver understanding of diet based on behavioral objectives. 
• Counsel and instruct outpatients and/or families providing written instruction materials. 
• Evaluate and document patient and/or caregiver understanding of diet based on behavioral objectives.
• Develop and revise education materials and teaching outlines including individual and group handouts, ensuring materials are understandable and accurate.
• Promote nutrition and the Food Services Department through public relations and marketing.  

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Bachelorâ™s degree in Nutrition or relevant field of study with dietetic internship or equivalent, required
• Current Registration with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration or registry eligible with the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire, required
• Current nutrition license with the Montana State Board of Medical Examiners or licensure ready with the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire, required
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire, required
• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team, required
• Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment, required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, required
• Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position, required
