The marketing and communications department seeks experienced enrollment communications colleague with exceptional organizational skills who can operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment. This self-motivated individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a top of the funnel through deposit communications strategy. The associate director is a liaison with other campus departments, particularly enrollment management and admissions.
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study such as marketing or communication; master's degree preferred
Eight to 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, admissions, enrollment management, or related fields
Direct experience serving as the lead author of both marketing and admissions plans including engagement strategies and results measurement
Experience using Salesforce, TargetX or other CRM system
Experience developing and leading complex projects or programs and measuring results of strategic plans and program
Experience developing, directing and managing multiple projects
Understands trends in enrollment engagement especially within a higher education organization
Experience cultivating and managing client relationships
Experience working with a multi-cultural constituency
Familiarity with current communications technologies and best practices
Experience and/or understanding of communications best practices at a university
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to quickly find the heart of a story and its supporting facts
Must be a creative thinker with the ability to use words and visuals to motivate and excite audience
High aptitude for collaboration and demonstrated success at working as part of a team
Superior communications and presentation skills; ability to persuasively convey the mission and value of Salem State to diverse audiences
