DePaul Cristo Rey High School in Cincinnati, Ohio is hiring a President to lead the organization to fulfill its mission and ensure continued growth and community impact. The President will lead a talented executive leadership team and a total staff of 60 in serving over 300 students each academic year.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The President is the spiritual and administrative leader of DePaul Cristo Rey High School, a Catholic high school sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. The President is responsible for the overall management of the school, including its development and growth as a Cristo Rey Network high school. The President reports to the school’s Board of Directors and collaborates with the Sisters of Charity Corporation Board for Sponsored Ministries, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Cincinnati Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Office.
The President plays a leading role in furthering the school’s mission, developing long-range strategic plans, guiding institutional growth through oversight of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for student enrollment, academics, advancement, marketing and communications, alumni and public relations, stewardship of the school’s financial resources, the corporate work study program, and building relationships with students and families, faculty and staff, and with members of the Greater Cincinnati community.
Works with the Board of Directors, Board Committees, and other established committees. Implements Board policies, hires and manages the leadership team of the school, and develops and implements school policies.
Provides leadership and works closely with the Principal in the development of academic and co-curricular programs and the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) Executive Director in securing jobs for our students.
Serves as President of both the DePaul Cristo Rey High School Corporation and the DePaul Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program Corporation.
Serves as the school’s liaison to the Cristo Rey Network and participates in annual meetings of Network school leaders and personnel.
Has ultimate responsibility for meeting or exceeding key metrics established by the Cristo Rey Network around enrollment, student and staff retention, academic success, graduation, and other important outcomes.
Mission and Culture:
Implements the mission of DePaul Cristo Rey and the Cristo Rey Network and supports the mission of the Sisters of Charity.
Abides by the ten (10) Cristo Rey Network Mission Effectiveness Standards.
Develops, implements, and supports a Catholic school culture that adheres to the Cristo Rey model.
Demonstrates strategic and transparent leadership balanced with authenticity, respect for others, and trust building with all stakeholders, including students, co-workers, and the Board of Directors.
Is visible on campus, interacts with students comfortably, and regularly attends school events.
Public Relations and Development:
As the chief spokesperson, promotes the unique mission of the school internally and externally to the school’s various publics, including the Sisters of Charity, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, parishes, alumni, benefactors, corporate sponsors and partners, civic and government leaders, and the general public.
In conjunction with the development team, engages donors, volunteers, and the community-at-large to support the mission and vision of the school to secure resources that will support the school’s long-term strategic needs.
Meets and builds personal relationships with current and prospective corporate work study partners, corporate and individual donors, and foundation trustees.
Strategic Planning and Finances:
Works with the Board and staff to establish overall strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the growth of the school.
Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer, maintaining oversight of financial operations, financial assets, and liabilities of the school.
Oversees development of the school’s annual budget and tracks progress against these budgets to adapt to changing conditions.
Team Management & Development:
Oversees the Offices of Advancement, Business Administration & Operations, Corporate Work Study, Marketing/Communications, Admissions, and the Principal, who oversees academic administration, curriculum & instruction.
Promotes a healthy, collaborative environment in which Executive Leadership, along with faculty and staff, eliminate silos and are driven by achievement of shared goals
Supports the development and success of the Executive Leadership Team and helps them achieve short and long-term strategic goals.
THE KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the mission of DePaul Cristo Rey High School.
Experience being the face of an organization with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Proven success managing and developing a senior team and providing day-to-day leadership.
Robust network in the Greater Cincinnati business and philanthropic communities or demonstrated ability to develop such a network.
Must be a person of faith, strong preference for a practicing Catholic.
Solid financial acumen with meaningful P&L responsibility.
Ability to identify key metrics and hold individuals and teams accountable for achieving goals.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
Understands and can relate to the students and families served by the school.
Experience working with Boards and engaging volunteers and donors to support a mission-driven organization.
Can introduce new systems and processes to complete the transition from a start-up to an established, professional work environment.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Five (5) or more years of successful experience in executive management and leadership within the private, public, or nonprofit sectors, demonstrating progressively greater responsibility.
