The Division of College Advancement at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Assistant Director - Donor Relations. Reporting to the Director of Development and Donor Relations, expectations include contributing to the development and implementation of a donor-centered communications program and assisting with database integrity and enrichment projects.
The Division of College Advancement develops relationships and secures resources that enable the College to achieve its vision and mission by engaging current and retired faculty and staff, alumni, students, corporations, foundations, government entities and friends of the College. Duties include but not limited to: contribute to the implementation of a segmented donor stewardship and communications program including writing and overall project management of multiple electronic and print publications such as the IMPACT newsletter and Annual Report of Philanthropy; solicit, collect, and distribute student thank you letters; develop a library of student and faculty stories that demonstrate the impact of charitable giving at SUNY Oneonta; create videos and digital content to share with various constituent groups; assist with planning and implementing donor stewardship events; assist with Raiser's Edge data integrity and enrichment projects including running quality control report and queries; researching and creating data queries and exports as requested; utilizing Excel and visual analytics to refine, organize, and deliver development and fundraising information including fundraising comparisons, event rosters, and donor profiles; completing data imports and updates to ensure the accuracy of all records in Raiser's Edge.
Required qualifications: bachelor's degree; experience utilizing a customer relationship management (CRM) database or related computer system; experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations or a related field; excellent written communication skills; and experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.
Preferred: experience working with Blackbaud's The Raiser's Edge CRM; experience working with ThankView or a similar video distribution platform; ability to work both independently and in a team environment; and experience working with and serving diverse populations.
