HR Recruitment Coordinator will primarily provide general assistance related to the personnel actions, policies, procedures and recruitment of the college's classified staffing and on-boarding functions. S/he will conduct search processes including job postings in the CUNY Talent Acquisition Management (TAM) module, advertise postings in external job boards, review submission of recruitment plans, coordinate interviews, process job offers and liaise with the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to ensure searches are completed on a timely basis.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, duties include but are not limited to:
Assists and provides guidance to hiring managers with recruitment processes. Works with hiring managers to create and update job descriptions and provides training to search committee members in CUNYFirst on-line search processes.
Assists the HR and Budget Directors in position management - reviews position requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with CUNY guidelines.
Utilizes sourcing methods which include advertisements, social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Dice, Indeed), internet research, career events, professional associations, and other sources.
Creates and maintains recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness of recruitment outreach efforts.
Conducts new hire on-boarding.
Performs data entry of employee information into HRIS system - CUNYfirst.
Confirms employment eligibility and degree credentials using the E-Verify and Degree-Verify.
Assists with HR processes such as organizational chart maintenance, correspondence generation, ad-hoc reporting, and contractual increase tracking.
Participates in special projects, and recruitment and training activities as assigned.
Participates in recruitment events such as job fairs as needed.
Works closely with Chief Diversity Office by providing information.
Reviews and assembles recruitment documents for approvals of various committees and units, such as the college's HEO Screening Committee.
Updates the careers page of the MEC HR website.
Serves as a resource on CUNYFirst Talent Acquisition Management and Position Management modules;attends all Central Office recruitment meetings.
Provides continuous support to the HR Director on special projects and recruitment and training activities as required.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Two years recruitment experience.
HR experience in a higher education institution or large public organization. Knowledge of the CUNY system a plus.
Knowledge of current federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with analytical, evaluative, and research skills.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills to prioritize work, manage multiple priorities, and
