Houston Christian (HC) is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Program for College Readiness (PCR) Directorto begin in August 2020. Under the guidance of the Principal, the PCR Directoris responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of all facets of the Program for College Readiness (PCR). This is an exempt, full-time, 10-½ month position. The PCR Director will provide oversight of all PCR courses, faculty, and staff. The position may involve some classroom instruction and consists heavily of program administration and collaboration with HC faculty.
Master’s degree in education; Special Education, preferred.
Experience with instructional strategies and working with students with learning differences.
Strong communication and public relations skills with ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of administration, internally and externally to the school, parents and collegiate personnel.
Strong work ethic, energetic, enthusiastic, flexible.
Ability to build strong relationships with teachers and support personnel with a collaborative leadership style.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several groups and projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with students and parents.
Have a high regard for confidentiality.
Proficient in basic technology applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel). Google Apps knowledge is beneficial (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail).
Represent the school to the community and prospective students.

Qualified candidates must be skilled and have a passion for the instruction, oversight, and development of the PCR and students with learning differences. The successful candidate will be energetic and creative and possess a vision for excellence at the high school level, a strong work ethic, and a desire to achieve success, as evidenced by growth in the program. Contribution to the life of the school outside the classroom is expected. Occasional after school, evening or weekend hours will be necessary.
