We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our rapidly growing team.
This position is responsible for all marketing assets for shows at the Coliseum. This position will work in conjunction with artist management, Radio/TV, and sales teams to create and develop an effective marketing plan that will reach the correct demographic and target customers appropriate for each show.Â This position will also be responsible for maintaining and tracking budgets to make sure funds are allocated correctly.
Manages day-to-day marketing operations and supervises staff, as assigned. Participates in development of marketing and sales goals, objectives, plans and strategies. Assists in determining target markets.
Administers programs to promote awareness of department services and/or products within the University community and/or to the general public, such as direct mail, telemarketing, advertising, publicity, community relations, promotional activities, special events, etc.
Develops, produces and distributes publications and other promotional materials for department marketing and public relations purposes.
Develops and implements market research instruments or utilizes standard market research instruments to collect information necessary to market department goods and/or services. Plans and conducts surveys, as appropriate.
Designs and produces marketing reports for department and/or University use.
Establishes and maintains contacts with internal and external marketing professionals and vendors such as artists, designers, photographers, mailing houses, postal service, list brokers, advertising representatives, media contacts, etc. Responsible for the development and execution of marketing and promotional plans. Collaborates with marketing team, tour directors, talent buyers, and the Director of Booking at the Coliseum to plan and oversee the marketing spend. Develop and implement long-term marketing initiatives.
Create and manage digital cross-promotional opportunities and partnerships.
Generate and adhere to the marketing budget. Book and account for all advertising and media, ensuring funds are allocated to correct partners. Prepare advertising settlements for each show
Oversee, design, build and maintain social media presence, research current trends and apply current promotions. Manage social media agency and track performance against KPIs. Run point for setting up account access with artists. Keep up with current social trends to ensure the social strategy remains current.
Promote stadium to industry and public alike in support of Sales & Marketing Team, including offering building tours to the general public.
Provide event support for traditional ticketed and special events, including community outreach. Provide additional support for special projects as needed (renovation, legacy, centennial. etc.)
Oversee and evaluate show performance, making adjustments to meet marketing strategy in changing market or competitive conditions. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against return on investment goals.
Supervise PR & publicity, advance press interviews, secure and coordinate artist availability for promotions with management, label, and public relations agencies.
Collaborate with agencies and vendor partners like Ticketmaster and AXS on marketing opportunities for shows, emails, banners, and promotions. Develop promotional, advertising partnerships with websites that can reach targeted demographics.
Research new technology companies and develop personal relationships with them.
Develop and pitch promotions to media outlets. Contact radio and schedule radio time and set up giveaways. Negotiate rates and contracts with various media outlets. Buy ad space via the internet/apps (YouTube, Google, Yahoo, Pandora, Spotify, etc.) for shows, festivals, venue advertisements, and tours.
Develop additional marketing opportunities to increase ticket sales when needed. Keep up with current marketing and social media trends to brainstorm new ideas and concepts for assets and promotions to market events.
Work with marketing team and artist management to strategize new ways to market shows and reach the correct audience.
May be responsible for other duties day of the show, including but not limited to overseeing house photographers, direct management of venue websites, live updates on social media day of show, escort media, coordinate meet and greets and guest list.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Field of Expertise: Thorough knowledge of marketing and business management.Knowledge of the principles, practices, concepts and methodology of marketing.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
