Administrative services includes activities in finance and human resources and may also include IT, facilities, or student services. General management includes long and short range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Annual & Digital Giving, this position is responsible for general financial support, large meeting scheduling, project management and customer service needs for Annual & Digital Giving. The incumbent will be asked to work with external vendors to ensure timeline are met and that deliverables are achieved.
The person in this position will manage be asked to work with Annual & Digital Giving staff to manage the customer service needs of our donors and constituents. This can include responding to emails, returning phone calls and drafting correspondence as needed. Additionally, this individual will be asked to supervise the Annual & Digital Giving student interns to ensure schedules are coordinated, time-sheets are accurate and tasks are assigned. This person will also be asked to track project timelines, outcomes from solicitation activities and update the Annual & Digital Giving dashboard. This role will also need to be prepared to track the solicitation and communications calendar for Annual & Digital Giving activities.

University Relations provides leadership, strategic planning, and central services in the areas of alumni, donor and parent relations and outreach, fundraising, government relations, communications, marketing, media relations, public events and publications (electronic and print), and campus Web development. In addition, University Relations provides support for the UC Santa Cruz Foundation and the UCSC Alumni Associations, both separate, not-for-profit corporations in the state of California.
The Annual & Digital Giving team focuses on bringing new donors to the University and renewing gifts of $25,000 and below, in partnership with Leadership Annual Giving. This team solicits through direct mail, email marketing, phone calls, and crowdfunding. This team manages and leads UC Santa Cruz's annual Giving Day efforts.
