WERS-FM is the oldest non-commercial radio station in New England. It is partially student staffed and professionally managed. The WERS Brand Manager is responsible for all aspects of WERS programming, marketing, promotions, events, and contests including, but not limited to, on-air and online giveaways, remote broadcasts, festivals and concerts as well as other musical and cultural events at which the station and/or air talent has a presence.

Oversee all aspects of WERS programming development, production, and execution.
Manage ongoing marketing and advertising efforts of WERS, including print, outdoor, television, and digital platforms.
Manage ongoing evolution of WERS's current brand.
Provide regular updates of the station's current standing in the market place (both terrestrial and digital) through data driven reports.
Develop initiatives that support the programming goals of WERS.
Support the goals and objectives of the WERS membership and underwriting departments through appropriate initiatives in programming, marketing, and promotions.
Work with student promotions coordinator to manage all aspects of WERS promotions, events, and contests, including, but not limited to, on-air and online giveaways, remote broadcasts, festivals and concerts as well as other musical and cultural events at which the station and/or air talent has a presence.
Schedule and manage all on-air promos as needed.
Oversee WERS website, blogs, podcasts and social media, as well as managing the (student) creative director and street team
Insure compliance with all local, state, and national laws pertaining to contests, events, and promotions, as well as with all FCC rules and regulations pertaining to contests and promotions.
Issue regular press releases to college and external media as needed
Maintain inventory of WERS apparel and other branded items
Other duties and responsibilities relating to promotions and marketing as assigned by the general manager
Must have a minimum 5 years experience in programming, marketing, and promotions of a licensed U.S. broadcast radio station. Some time spent in public radio is preferred.
Must have working knowledge of website operation, content management and social media..
Team player: Routinely interacts internally with the following areas: Programming, Membership, Underwriting, Operations, Business, Traffic, and Legal.
