Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:
Managing the websites and social media channels of Bank ABC Group and its subsidiaries.
Overseeing SEO, ensuring content is up to date; has a consistent tone of voice; user journey is clear, and performance of content is measured against clear KPI's.
Develop, design, write, collate (including copyediting and proofreading where necessary) and upload high quality, engaging content – in line with agreed content priorities.
As a member of the Communications team, contribute to the creation of content strategy, helping to identify the most compelling 'stories' and most effective ways of communicating via digital channels.
Planning and coordinating a schedule of activity across various social media platforms and improve engagement on social media platforms.
Managing paid promotions when required and maximising the reach and performance of such campaigns.
Monitoring, reporting and analysing results to improve performance, using analytics tools to make amendments and improvements where appropriate
Web design and development, in addition to HTML knowledge for email communication.
Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing, digital communication and measurement. Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
Job Context (Circumstances & environment surrounding the job):
The Digital Communications Officer will be part of a small, high performing corporate Communications team.
S/he is responsible for engaging Bank ABC's various internal and external audiences online, through creative use and effective management of digital channels, including the website, social media and e-bulletins.
An expert in building online communities, s/he leads on developing Bank ABC's online profile by maintaining a strong and consistent presence on social media platforms; content sharing through relevant third-party websites and newsletters.
With excellent writing, copyediting and proofreading skills and sound technical ability, s/he creates high-quality multimedia content.
Proven experience of managing organisational websites including design, development, planning content priorities, preparing and uploading content, maintaining the backend CMS (experience with SharePoint) and working with developers to develop functionality and solve technical issues.
Knowledge in user experience for website/intranet design, search engine optimisation techniques, HTM and CSS.
and a good understanding of emerging digital trends.
A strong track record of effectively utilising and developing a presence on, key social media platforms to build relationships and share information.
Experience of measuring the performance of websites and digital channels, establishing/reporting against performance indicators. In addition to building trackable campaigns in various platforms
Strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital communication campaigns from concept to execution.
Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Digital Marketing or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, dedicated, results-oriented and attentive to details.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with, motivate and advise others, and explain technical and complex concepts in accessible terms.
Ability to use initiative with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
