Creatively develop and oversee the NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s graphic standards. Determine design direction for all promotions, ensuring maintenance of graphic identity standards specified by the Director of Creative Strategy and Senior Leadership. Conceptualize and design publications, advertisements, flyers, brochures, invitations, postcards, signage, posters, e-newsletters, web content, and social media content using various desktop publishing software programs. Art direct all photography needs across all administrative and academic units. Manage the team of junior and student designers, photographers, and videographers for the Marketing and Communications department. Develop and execute media strategies, in collaboration with other departments, to raise the Profile of the Tandon School through (but not limited to) social networking sites, blogs, videos, and email marketing messages, and e-newsletters.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years in designing marketing and communications materials or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent graphic design skills in a range of media, both print and online using Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash and Quark. Interest and ability to art direct photo shoots. Strong organizational skills, people skills, and detail orientation. Ability to meet multiple deadlines. Ability to generate creative ideas and work independently.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of HTML and CSS coding standards preferred
