The General Manager is the Hana brand ambassador for the property. S/he needs to model the Hana mission, values and behaviors for all colleagues and coach for brand alignment and service excellence. This role has responsibility for ensuring a high quality, warm and welcoming service experience for all members and guests, ensuring that Hana is the easiest and friendliest place to do business and recognized for its outstanding hospitality. The General Manager also leads the service culture for the property, creating an environment where colleagues as well as members and guests are treated with care, belonging, empathy and respect.
The General Manager oversees all aspects of the business including leading and managing performance in operations, hospitality and sales. As our business footprint will expand at a very fast pace, the role we need a strong business leader who can both run our local Hana property, but also create successful and sustainable relationships to build and grow our Hana footprint, and drive the success of all operational support for the greater local market. The General Manager will also be The GM should consider themselves the Chief Sales Officer of the business and be very involved in the sales process. S/he is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal CBRE partners and brokers, as well as external stakeholders across the company and in the greater local market.
Serve as the single point of contact for the property. The General Manager is the CEO of the property and must own all aspects of the business.
Own overall P&L responsibility for the property including forecasting, revenue generation, expense management, and member retention and loyalty. Responsible for managing budgets and contributing to the pro forma as well as monthly and annual forecasting.
Build and grow the Hana brand through events, public relations efforts, brand awareness, and local specialized support from our partners and member community in partnership with the Brand & Marketing team.
Collaborate with brand communications and be the local spokesperson with the press.
Be the voice of the local market internally and partner with key functions such as real estate, finance, D&T, HR, development, sales, marketing, and brand communications
Set the tone for the team, demand performance, and drive results while also growing and developing the next generation of leaders in the market.
Create a strong service culture in the property, ensuring that our colleagues, as well as our members and guests are treated with care and respect
Be the local market presence to support Real Estate Development in the selection of future Hana locations. Responsible for the business development and account management related to brokers and other real estate partners for their property .
Assist in programming the Hana space with the Design and Construction Team.
Accountable for the overall building health and experience in the property.
Understand local regulatory status and work with legal on government relations.
Partner with Hana HQ to manage vendor and partner relationships.
Act as liaison between your team and the Managing Director and Global COO.
Lead the Hana team to:
Create a professional environment amongst our members through hospitality, events and personal introductions.
Ensure that the property is fully operational, and processes are running efficiently.
Manage the sales process and member retention.
Foster team development and growth.
Manage all goals and performance metrics for the property.
Model and ensure complete alignment with the Hana mission, values and behaviors.
Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management's review as needed.
Consistently maintain a high level of client, member and guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred
4+ years professional experience related to relationship management and business development
Commercial real estate experience preferred
Possess strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to upper management and internal departments as well as clients, members and guests
Able to seamlessly build trust across organizations by being a good listener and soliciting input and feedback.
Relationship builder who is comfortable working within a matrix environment with a variety of people and functions- engineering, analytics, customer service, design, operations, executives, functional stakeholders, parent company leaders and other
