Provide excellent written and verbal communications to promote the Center for Vital Longevity (CVL). Will create public relations and marketing opportunities in all communications areas: news media, web based communications, print materials, public speaking and presentations. Will focus on bringing positive attention to the Center, and its faculty and research scientists. Will keep branding and presentation of CVL consistent with institutional guidelines. Will work in collaboration with the Office of Communications and its staff, to coordinate all media relations and marketing efforts. Will establish collaborative relationship the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, English or marketing. Five to seven years of experience including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Microsoft Office skills, good interpersonal skills, experience with public speaking and presentations to the public. Knowledge of higher education, public relations, news media, web based communications, and print materials. Prior experience with biomedical research desirable. Experienced in generating content for web and print with some emphasis on creation of routinely needed brochures and other clinical materials.
