This is an externally funded position conditional upon available external funds.
This position will work on a fiscal team responsible for the management of all financial transactions at the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs. This position is responsible for fulfilling daily financial transaction and maintaining financial records in relation to the School's $4M+ in funded State line appropriations. This includes working with program directors and staff funded through these line items, the Dean's office, and the School's Finance team to carry out responsibilities as well as document and communicate activity in a manner consistent with School, University, and State requirements. Financial transactions will include tracking work hours, payroll, travel, and budgets, paying sub-contractors and consultant invoices, managing consultant tracking and cost share agreements.
Duties include: Manages fiscal responsibilities which include monitoring budgets through FMS, account analysis, account reconciliations, expenditure tracking, financial reporting, and accounting corrections. Analyzes and calculates specific monthly payroll distribution to expense to State line item accounts. Establishes, maintains, and approves accounting transactions using the University's financial management systems (Concur, Bobcat Buy, OBIEE, Oracle FMS, WorkForce) as well as internal accounting systems. Analyzes, verifies, and approves financial reports before submittal to any external entity. Other duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration, or any Bachelor’s Degree AND at least three (3) years of grant fiscal management experience is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration or any other Bachelor’s Degree and at least three (3) years of grant fiscal management, AND experience with University financial systems are preferred.
