Your Challenge: The Director, Corporate Relations will lead a team to create, build and strength relationships with Corporate Member companies/liaisons that contribute to HIMSS’ business and advancing the mission. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the Society’s Corporate Relations program and benefits, ensuring retention of current members as well as growing them to the next level.
The things that you will tackle:
Cultivates, strengthens and maintains positive relations with Corporate Members by working with Sales, Government Relations, Media, Analytics, Content, International, and the Executive team to provide support for programs, products and opportunities to maximize value.
Develops annual recruitment and retention goals and tactics to achieve them. Accountable for Corporate Member retention rate as determined annually in the Society’s strategic plan.
Develops Corporate Member programs and services that support and attract customers and Corporate Members.
Directs and manages the Corporate Relations Team to ensure benefits and services are delivered as described, including those that require support by other departments in the Society.
Achieves meeting revenue and expense objectives as established by the Society in the annual budget process.
Provides regular reports and analysis of Corporate Member activity, including renewals, non-renewals and new Corporate Members.Works with Sales to identify new leads, opportunities, and potential benefits.
Responsible for ensuring that all employees reporting to them directly or indirectly understand the importance of complying with the internal control objectives of the organization.
What you will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Five or more years of successful experience in a professional society, trade association or healthcare management; a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience
Extensive background in Customer Service/Support. Strong interpersonal and team building skills; proven ability to work with individuals at all levels, including executive and C-level customers.
Knowledge of the health information technology industry. Demonstrated success in developing and executing new programs, as well as strong relationships in the HIT vendor community.
Superior planning skills, both strategic and tactical, to develop and execute new Corporate Member programs from concept to delivery
Business communication skills, both verbal and written; effective time management skills combine with organization and prioritization abilities.
Ability to articulate and to sell ideas and concepts
Skilled in using current office technology to support responsibilities.
