Reporting to the Dean of Humanities & the Arts and working in close collaboration with the Dean's and Hammer Theatre staff, the Events and Communication Analyst is charged with overseeing events and communications for the College and all of its units. This position is key in working with faculty, staff, and students to ensure clear processes and outcomes for all sponsored College and Hammer events. The Events and Communications Specialist is expected to uphold a high standard of design, copy, and messaging and to work well with the students, faculty, and staff to support consistent quality events and communication support for the College of Humanities and the Arts.
The position provides design and writing expertise, creative skills and awareness of the college brand identity, mission and vision. Working independently, under general direction, the incumbent is responsible for day-to-day event planning and communications. The incumbent develops, designs and manages budgets to produces a wide range of university and public events which involve a collection of SJSU stakeholders, community leaders and public supporters.
