Admissions Communication Coordinator, reporting to the NTID Director of Admissions, will be responsible for assisting with all day-to-day direct marketing activities related to the recruitment of new students to NTID. The Communication Coordinator will become an expert in Slate, RIT's Customer Service Module, which will serve as the platform for the flow of all communication to prospective students.
The Communication Coordinator will be responsible for organizing a communication calendar that will drive attendance at events such as open houses, webinars, high school visits and other special events as well as remind students of these upcoming programs. The Communication Coordinator will also engage prospective students to apply, to complete their application, and to pay their deposit; he/she will also build a separate communication calendar for accepted students.
As a means of communicating with prospective students, the Admissions Communication Coordinator will be responsible for understanding the text messaging module in Slate, once this program is developed.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with prospective students via email marketing messages.
Willingness and ability to learn and excel in using Slate, RITs Customer Service Module (CRM) software system.
Excellent/exceptional writing skills with a strong comprehension of the English language and the ability to write clear marketing messages to prospective college bound students.
Working knowledge of data bases and the ability to develop logic to retrieve data fields.
Ability to learn quickly, to multi-task and to also work independently.
Ability to problem solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements.
Knowledge of HTML, SQL, Photoshop and InDesign.
Strong drive for success.
Willingness and/or ability to learn ASL to achieve a fluent level of proficiency in three years
Preferred: Fluency in American Sign Language and familiarity with Deaf culture, or ability to achieve fluency in three years.
