SUMMARY
We are looking for a hands-on technology manager with 5+ years of technical leadership and people management to help expand our existing platform, grow and coach our engineering team and develop new features and products.
We are part of the Digital and Technology group of CBRE, working on our corporate communications platforms. This platform is responsible for distributing news, content and corporate updates to the 90,000+ employees of CBRE. The team manages omnichannel communications to our employees using combinations of intranet websites, notification systems and desktop tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Corporate Communications and Business stakeholders to deliver planned business outcomes.
Mentor and coach team members, including code reviews, 1 on 1 coaching sessions with engineers, and investment in your team's technical and personal growth
Help design elegant solutions to implement new features/applications based on industry standards.
Identify and address bugs/enhancements/needed refactoring.
Provide upper tier support for end users. Troubleshoot technical problems such as application performance issues.
Maintain customer satisfaction metrics and system service assurance
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of six to ten years of related experience and/or training.
5+ years of engineering and including 5-10+ years of professional programming experience
Strong background in Agile methodology, Scrum and Agile planning
Experience in cloud native web site development and architecture in Azure or AWS
Experience building web experiences with using SharePoint, SharePoint Online in Office 365
Basic understanding of CMS, CDN and web site development concepts
Experience collecting and monitoring web site statistics with google analytics and tools like Power BI and Tableau
Nice to have - C# preferably with .Net Core
Have familiarity with search concepts such as Elasticsearch and Lucene indexing
Have experience integrating data sources using RESTful APIs and Database access
Excellent communication skills including the ability to describe technical issues for non-technical stakeholders and make persuasive arguments based on data.
Basic financial management including budgeting, forecasting, project costing, and procurement
