Brief Summary of Work for this Position The Head Coach, Men’s & Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country oversees, develops, organizes, and directs a strategically competitive NCAA Division I program. Responsible for the overall coaching, management and administration of the program to include evaluating and recruiting, supervising academic progress and promoting the graduation of student-athletes. The Head Coach teaches all phases of training and fundamentals for a successful program in accordance with NCAA, CAA, and UNCW’s rules and regulations. Develops quality student-athletes within a successful program while maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Participates in and support department and program fundraising, promotional and public relations events, campus and community outreach and service projects. Primary purpose of the division, department, and/or grant The UNCW Department of Athletics sponsors 19 varsity sports and competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association.
