Job Description Nevada State College (NSC) invites applications for the position of CEDI (Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives) Community Resource Coordinator. The Community Resource Coordinator will develop and oversee support awareness and co-curricular programs for faculty, staff and students through the lens of diversity and inclusion, and increase retention through equity. The Community Resource Coordinator works to identify needs, establish priorities, identify resources, establish partnerships, secure sponsorships and donations and create a structure which connects faculty, staff and students to resources that will positively impact program success and elevate wellness on campus.
About Nevada State College: Founded in 2002, NSC is a four-year public college located on a developing 512-acre campus in the foothills of Henderson, Nevada (adjacent to Las Vegas). Develop and oversee programs for faculty, staff and students through the lens of equity, diversity and inclusion
Develop and facilitate opportunities for student engagement with community programs
Assess and evaluate program outcomes and impact
Identify and maintain a comprehensive list/ inventory of campus and community resources to assist faculty, staff and students
Oversee multiple webpages for CEDI
Create a data-driven structure that incorporates wrap-a-round resource opportunities and connects faculty, staff and students with local services
Meet with campus stakeholders to identify and assess needs
Identify existing resources, assess effectiveness and potential improvements
Contribute to the development of cross-campus marketing and assessment to support existing resources
Establish partnerships with community resource providers. Secure funding and resource donations
Seek grant funding that leads to increased services, resources and opportunities for students. Support the grant writing process
Coordinate efforts to promote collaboration between student support service units across campus
Serve as a resource within the internal and external community
Identify and maintain a comprehensive list/ inventory of campus and community resources to assist faculty, staff and students. Oversee a resources webpage
Other duties as assigned by the Director of CEDI to advance the mission or goals of the department
At least two (2) years of comparable professional experience; the candidate may receive partial credit for relevant work study, internship, volunteer or part-time work
Demonstrated familiarity with community resources, especially those that serve or are used frequently by Black/African American and communities of color from urban environments
Experience in project management and/or community organizing
Experience in planning and executing successful events for groups within defined budgetary and programmatic guidelines
Experience with and ease of utilizing technology including social media, Microsoft Office, web and database

Master's Degree in a relevant field
Experience working with or serving Black/African American and other communities of color from urban environments
Experience working with students, faculty and higher education staff
Experience maintaining confidentiality when working with sensitive information

Five (5) or more years of comparable professional experience
Salary & Benefits Budgeted salary range for this position is $42,000. Nevada State College offers excellent benefits, including 15.25% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 11 paid holidays, educational benefits, and the choice of two health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
