Working under the direction of the Director of Creative Media, the Producer at HMX will contribute to the creation of unique high-quality educational media for delivery online by leading video production in studios and on location throughout Harvard Medical School and its affiliated hospitals and research institutions. A successful Producer will be comfortable managing multiple projects in various phases of pre-production and production at any time, assuring on-time delivery of media while maintaining the highest quality results and an unwavering professionalism throughout. The ability to be hands-on as an experienced camera operator, sound recordist and photographer is required. Up-to-date expertise in video technologies (including hardware and software) will drive the production of established video modalities through the maintenance and expansion of studios and pre-production/production processes. They will be willing and able to contribute to post-production efforts, in collaboration with the rest of the HMX Creative Media team, meeting and exceeding a high bar for quality deliverables. The Producer will lead efforts to instate and upkeep media management systems (NAS and DAM) for the organization and archiving of HMX creative media assets.

HMX description: HMX is an educational initiative at Harvard Medical School dedicated to creating fully online courses on foundational topics in medicine. These courses are led by Harvard Medical School faculty, working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of experts in visual communication, assessment, and the science of learning. -Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in video production environments. -Demonstrated ability to produce and direct video shoots -Proven experience with audio and video post-production
