POSITION SUMMARY The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for working collaboratively with the Board of Directors in leading the transformation of Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota to an organization capable of delivering on its long-term vision. The CEO is responsible for ensuring that fiscal, operations, fundraising, marketing, human resources, technology, and programmatic strategies are effectively planned and implemented across all segments of the organization. The CEO will direct the agency in providing social ministry to individuals, churches, groups, and communities while ensuring program and organizational integrity. The CEO must meet the obligations of its funders and grant responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Infrastructure and Operations: Ensures the delivery of high quality services while managing for current and future growth; supports, motivates, and engages the organization's staff; facilitates cross-departmental collaboration and strengthens internal communications with staff throughout the organization; creates and promotes a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization's strategy, operational methods, and data collection needs; oversees the financial status of the organization including developing long and short range financial plans, monitoring the budget and ensuring sound financial controls are in place; and sets financial priorities accurately to ensure the organization is operating in a manner that supports the needs of the program and staff. Program Developments: Rationalizes the delivery of programs through new and existing programs and partnerships; and increases efficiencies and consistency throughout the organization by developing and implementing standardized programs, services and program office marketing.
