![]() Webster University Position Number: S0802 Job Description Summary: The campus director serves as the primary recruitment and administrative officer for both the Fort Jackson and Shaw AFB campuses. The director is charged with implementing programs and policies for the purpose of meeting the overall goals and objectives of the University. The Director reports to the Sr, Director, Military Campus operations with secondary responsibilities to the Associate Vice President, Online Education. Minimum Qualifications Masters degree required. Previous experience in higher education, recruitment, or program management required. Knowledge of modern principles, methods, and techniques of student recruitment, higher education administration, and program planning. Ability to express oneself clearly and effectively in oral and written form. Ability in the area of communication and interpersonal skills. Supervisory skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community organizations and the general public. Strong persuasive and presentation skills required, in service of student enrollment Preferred Qualifications Previous military experience or veteran status preferred. Previous experience in graduate student recruitment a plus. Essential Duties Directs and coordinates recruitment activities at the Fort Jackson campus and the surrounding area. Plans, coordinates, and conducts public relations programs to enhance public awareness of the University and to increase student enrollments. Identifies potential faculty for review by academic departments, orients and manages faculty on-site, and ensures faculty participation in required professional development and training. Obtains maximum utilization of Fort Jackson and Shaw AFB staff by clearly defining duties and establishing performance reviews. Maintains effective relationships with other organizations, both public and private, and sees that the position of the University is enhanced in accordance with the policies and objectives of the University. Develops, recommends, and operates within an annual budget. Ensures that all funds, physical assets, and other property of the University are appropriately safeguarded and administered. Ensures that supervisor is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the Fort Jackson campus. The director is responsible for working with local organizations (ESO, base commands) as necessary to plan, evaluate, recommend actions to achieve University goals. Prepares and submits reports as necessary to carry out functions of the extended campus including those required to stay in state and federal compliance. Oversees Assistant Director, Shaw Air Force base and 2 additional administrative representatives (1 pt, 1 ft) Will also take part in regular cross-functional projects, incorporating staff from across the domestic extended campus network
