Working closely with colleagues in Health Sciences Development (HSD), the Digital Development Communications Specialist will research, write, edit, and produce timely marketing materials, emails, event collateral and other correspondence on behalf of the Health Sciences Development office to a wide range of prospects and donors. The Digital Development Communications Specialist will primarily develop communications for delivery through digital/electronic platforms, such as SalesForce Marketing Cloud. Some social media writing will also be involved. This individual will provide additional writing support to the Senior Director, Senior Writer, and other team members as needed, including stewardship communications for the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences Development; Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences; Dean, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA; and President, UCLA Health. The Digital Development Communications Specialist must be a proven English language specialist who not only has finely honed spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax skills, but has the ability to recommend solicitation approaches for various targeted audiences. This individual will also coordinate special projects as assigned by the Senior Director of Development Communications, Health Sciences Development, specifically through digital channels and will work across multiple digital marketing and communications platforms that involve html coding. Under the direction of the HSD Graphic Design Manager, the Digital Development Communications Specialist will be responsible for providing digital design assistance for a wide range of fundraising collateral as appropriate. In addition, this individual will provide assistance with competitive research, monitoring marketing trends and best practices, and analytic support.
