We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead and control all business aspects of the company. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will be the first in command for the company and responsible for giving the proper strategic and operational direction as well as creating a compelling vision for success to all stakeholders.

Direct the company in keeping with mission, vision, core values and desired culture.
Develop quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short- term and long-term objectives.

Utilize, with marketing leadership, market research producing a deep understanding of customer needs, leading to specific product development, service offerings and profitable growth.

Develop, with the CHRO (Chief Human Resource Officer) talent acquisition and retention, employee growth and succession planning and communication strategies.
Make high-quality investment and acquisition decisions for the purpose of building shareholder value and advise the Board on potential investment risk and return.
Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics.
Consistently inform the Board of Directors of important trends, emerging issues and results.
Represent the company as required, including developing a public relations strategy, attendance at important functions, industry events and public meetings.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or Liberal Arts.
5-10 years of successful corporate leadership experience, including a proven track record of creating strategies resulting in successful growth and profitability in the distribution industry.
Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management systems.
Comfort with diverse business functions such as HR, PR, finance, etc.
In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
SKILLS AND PERSONALITY TRAITS
Leadership skills, including the ability to effectively motivate employees at all levels.
Ability to understand the unique structure of an ESOP company and its responsibility to its shareholders.
Deep commitment to a company culture where employees at all levels are consistently viewed as owners, valued and supported.
Must be able to communicate to the organization in clear and compelling ways.
Successfully builds strong relationships with customers, suppliers and co-workers to create trust, loyalty and a positive image for the CEO and the company.
Change and risk management. To lead successful change the CEO must embrace change and risk in a way that differs from the other members of their leadership team. They must have a deep understanding of the changes to make and the risks to take and how to mitigate them and successfully communicate the reasons for taking them.
Listening skills. Must be able to effectively discern real issues, challenges and opportunities through careful and consistent listening to employees and customers.
The CEO must be able to know what they don’t know and are open to hearing what they don’t know and are always trying to learn. Must have the ability to learn from the past and utilizes past experiences to instill lessons for the future.
Innovation oriented and can think outside the box. All markets change and it’s important for both the leader and those they lead to be creative to find better ways to achieve business goals.
Focus on relentless, continuous improvement across the organization.
Personal organization. Must be organized in the approach to managing time effectively and solving problems by understanding which issues are priorities and which are tangential.
