This position is for the Washington University Clinical Associates (WUCA) LLC - Maryland Medical Group. The position is located at 1110 Highlands Plaza Drive East – Suite 375, St. Louis, MO 63110.
Position directs the clinical & financial activities of the office, supervises, coordinates and provides leadership functions for clerical staff, medical assistants and nurses in conjunction with the physicians of the practice.� Oversees personnel matters, maintains reports and acts as liaison between the office and Washington University.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, coordinates and implements operations of the practice including assistance with development and maintenance of efficient procedures and oversees administrative and clinical operations.
Interacts and collaborates with physicians to provide direction and oversight of schedules and work flows. Reviews, assists, promotes and maintains development of office policies and procedures, office practices, and clinical flow patterns.
Functions as working supervisor by filling in to cover front desk, medical records and billing functions.
With input from the physicians; directs, assigns and coordinates activities and duties of staff, evaluating performance and orienting new staff.
Supervises the management of personnel, maintains records, makes hiring recommendations, evaluations, counseling and terminations.
Works to ensure compliance with laws concerning personnel administration, coordinating response and assistance when resolving personnel issues.
Coordinates benefits enrollment for employees.
Manages time reporting and other changes affecting payroll.� Submits payroll for processing.
Manages finances including budget preparation, analysis and projection of revenues and expenses.
Monitors all financial expenditures.� Reviews statements, invoices, receipts and charges.
Reconciliation of practice bank account in coordination with practice accountant.
Identifies/implements cost-effective approaches.
Assists in preparation and distribution of monthly reports such as financial reports and other requested reports.
Supervises co-pay collection process, timely completion of charge entry and maintenance of billing edits.
Maintains job descriptions for office, participates and assists in the interviewing of employees, acts to resolve personnel problems, prepares and approves staff schedules.
Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Facilitates educational opportunities for staff to ensure compliance with WU and regulatory guidelines.
Oversees supplies, including vaccine inventory, as well as ordering/repairing equipment as required.
Promotes and maintains good public relations with patients/families.
Other duties as assigned.
Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 2 years of physician practice management experience.
Experience in an adult primary care setting setting.
Working knowledge of physician practice.
Demonstrated communication, organization, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems and web based programs.
Knowledge of Epic.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
