EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR , Koch Institute (KI) for Integrative Cancer Research , to develop, implement, and execute KI's overall outreach strategy and have broad oversight of general communications and public relations. Responsibilities will include setting objectives for and managing all aspects of industry collaborations (from business development through contract negotiation to launch), clinical outreach, collaborations, and inter-institutional partnerships; set overall objectives and provide strategy recommendations for communications and participate in direct identification of audiences, objectives, key messages, timelines, and technology for implementation; collaborate with KI's managing director of development on all development activities; develop and implement strategies to identify potential partners and increase support from industry sectors and individual companies; maintain a portfolio of companies and/or corporate fund-raising projects; represent KI to a variety of technical and lay audiences; advise the KI director on important, time-sensitive communications issues/challenges/crises; help set overall objectives for and oversee management of educational and public outreach programs/activities; collaborate on budgetary objectives; and directly managing a small team.
