Reporting to the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics, this position builds relationships with the university's various constituents. The focus of the position will be on planning, executing, and administering annual fund programs and activities with expectations of meeting and/or exceeding both individual and departmental goals; assist in fostering positive, lasting relationships through personal contact and strategic touch points with donors that produce repeat and increased annual gifts. Forecasts development goals and informs management on the progress toward the goals. Analyzes statistics on giving trends and habits. This position will develop a comprehensive marketing, annual solicitation and communication plan that strategically engages current and prospective donors. The incumbent will work athletic events, hospitality, athletic competitions and community functions representing USF Athletics. Adheres to all NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
Identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors to USF Athletics by planning, executing, and administering annual fund programs and activities aimed to increase annual fund contributions with a goal of attracting new and increasing current philanthropic support from individuals and businesses ranging from $100 to $10,000 or more annual leadership gifts.
Responsible for the organization, coordination, and execution of the Bulls Club annual giving program. Includes, but not limited to, focused initiatives designed to secure donor renewals, re-engagement of lapsed donors, and donor retention. Other elements of importance are the marketing, branding, communications, website and social media presence of the Bulls Club, along with the membership guide and annual giving events. Involvement in executing coach's club and other annual giving initiatives to be determined.
Examines prospect lists and develops solicitation processes (i.e. phone-a-thons, e-solicitation or mail solicitation) including idea, design, feedback approval process and implementation, and working with Major gift fundraisers on pipeline movement strategies, which would include making phone calls and other introductory contacts to secure appointments with prospects.
Responsible for the organization, coordination, and execution of donor travel programs for road athletic games, assisting in hospitality events, cultivation efforts, etc.
Collaborate with USF Foundation annual giving team and the alumni office on prospect engagement specific to athletics.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience related to development or other appropriate professional experience.
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations or communications preferred. Professional experience working within a collegiate athletics program in fundraising/development. Proficient with Archtics (Ticketmaster system), Microsoft Office and managing websites.
