Requisition ID: req2752 Job Title: Outreach Program Coordinator Department: Partnerships and Programs Location: Columbus Campus Employment Type: Staff Employment Status: Externally Funded Bargaining Unit: Non-Bargaining Unit FLSA Status: Exempt Compensation Type: Annual Compensation: $48,375.00 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p Job Description: The College Position Summary The Outreach Program Coordinator for the Employer Engagement and Experiential Learning Office (EEEL) coordinates targeted recruitment and outreach initiatives for experiential learning programs and on-site delivery projects. This position works closely with the Project Manager, Student Services Supervisor, and EEEL team and is responsible for the management of the recruitment pipeline and meeting enrollment goals for experiential learning programs. This role is also responsible for engaging in timely, high-quality, proactive outreach to educate student inquiries and applicants. This position coordinates the creation of print and digital outreach and promotional materials for office programs. Core Competencies Required Professionalism, Managing Work, Continuous Improvement, Customer/Student/Employee Focus, Collaboration, Adaptability, Guiding Interactions, Planning and Organizing, Delivering High-Impact Presentations and Earning Trust ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Project Coordination Coordinates outreach to target populations including: prospective high school students, adult learners, incumbent workers, and K-12 administrators and faculty. Provides information on programs of study and next steps for enrollment, including admission criteria, documents needed, financial aid, new student orientation, placement testing, advising, and registration. Develops and clarifies educational goals by conducting interviews and analyzing student needs. Explains educational program options and assists students with developing a plan for degree and/or goal completion. Marketing Contributes to the development and execution of an overarching marketing plan to grow recruitment and engagement in experiential learning programs. Coordinates the development of a wide-array of promotional and outreach materials for the office. Develops outreach materials for diverse audiences and uses including: print, digital, web, and social media. Supports both content creation and design implementation. Data and Reporting Utilizes technology and systems to track and report program results with ongoing data management to document student yield. Assists with data collection and data entry for program metrics and reporting. Creates regular reports on the project efforts and enrollment goals. Records and promotes notable activities, deliverables, and events through institutional communications, social media, and dissemination materials. Other Duties and Responsibilities Attends all required department meetings and training. Works evening hours, as required. *Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required. Usual Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time and occasionally stands and walks. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions Typical office environment. Regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices. Regular local travel, as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: policies and procedures of experiential learning programs, admissions, enrollment and financial aid; FERPA; college student development; college and community resources; placement testing and college readiness requirements; CRM system functions; marketing techniques; recruitment and outreach operations; admissions and enrollment management objectives and strategies; student information system functions and queries; database management. Skill in: maintaining good public relations; effective communication and relationship-building strategies; event planning; problem solving; customer service; operating general office equipment; general typing; application of job related software programs and applications; one-on-one and group college readiness instruction; creating and maintaining reports that track program results; execution of work plans. Ability to: integrate computer technology in teaching and assessment; effectively work with persons of varying cultures and diversity; work independently demonstrating initiative; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, job contacts and general public; utilize customer relationship manager (CRM) with a high degree of competency; create advanced pivot charts and attractive reports in Excel or other visualization software; utilize screen capture and video conferencing technology to conduct remote advising for students; exhibit a pleasant telephone manner; answer routine inquiries; maintain confidential and sensitive information; maintain accurate and complete work records; speak effectively to large groups; plan, execute assigned projects; serve as official college representative Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field. One (1) year of experience working with diverse student populations. *An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
