Location: 5235 S. Harper Court Job Description: Unit-Specific Responsibilities 1) Plan and implement strategies for a coordinated program of fundraising activities for College leadership gift prospects. 2) Plan and execute a target of 100 prospect visits and 75 solicitations, traveling as necessary to visit prospects - both individually and in tandem with College leadership. 3) Develop short and long-term plans for soliciting and stewarding leadership annual giving donors. 4) Deliver timely and effective follow-up in various forms to prospects and donors, including customized fundraising proposals. 5) Generate timely contact reports in prospect database following prospect or donor visits. 6) Co-direct up to three College's reunion class gift campaigns, collaborating closely with the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Team and the Major Gift Team within College Development. 7) Collaborate with staff throughout Alumni Relations and Development to increase leadership annual gift activity on behalf of the College. 8) Maintain expert-level knowledge of the College giving priorities and annual funds. 9) Participate in meetings and events as needed. 10) Seek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions. Mental Demands 1) Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative. 2) Ability to prioritize multiple projects and independently follow through with detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience 1) A minimum of two years of professional work experience in nonprofit management, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations, sales or similar professional work experience. 2) Knowledge of managing gift prospects. 3) Experience in soliciting and closing gifts of $2,500 or more.
