Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Marketing Specialist for the Communications and Marketing department of Rutgers Business School. Reporting to the Assistant Marketing Director. The position provides support to the Communications and Marketing team in organizing various projects by undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities. The duties of the Marketing Specialist includes but not limited to; -Provides support in the development of print and digital communications content for the Full-time, Part-time and Executive MBA program as well as the Accounting and Specialty master programs. -Produces and develops content for digital marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media marketing and marketing collateral. -Responsible for the data collection and analysis on various marketing campaigns. -Travel among campuses is required. Minimum Education and Experience:
-Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. -A minimum of two years' experience in marketing, graphic design, public relations, communications and website management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Demonstrated track records of success in driving sales and utilizing marketing campaigns. -Exceptional strategy development skills coupled with very strong execution and project management skills. -Great communication skills, with strengths in writing for websites & newsletters, public speaking, presentation skills. -Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Graphic design skills with InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop.
-Experience with social media marketing, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. -Ability to operate in a fast moving environment. -Understanding of website infrastructure and content management. -Knowledge of Google Analytics or other web analysis tools. -Experience using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool to track people, opportunities and activities.
-Incumbent must be familiar with programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Google Analytics, AdWords, Salesforce and Pardot.
