Major Duties: General summary: Responsible for writing and editing copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video and social media), working closely with the marketing and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. The most successful candidate will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style.- Researches and understands the target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.- Continually raises the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action.- Collaborates with creative staff from concept development to delivery of final product.- Interprets and writes creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution.- Comfortably varies voice, style and other characteristics demanded by the target audience and media channel.- Accepts constructive critique when given, understands and quickly adapts.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, English, communications, marketing or other related field from an accredited institution.- Five years' relevant professional copy writing experience.- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to think both analytically and creatively, and from the perspective of the target audience.
