The Project Manager works independently and in partnership with the Department Administrator and staff for the Department of Radiology to provide programmatic support with a focus on research support, and project management in the development of our clinical and academic programs.
Operations and Programmatic Supervision and Support: • Provides project management support for department projects as assigned by Department Administrator o Create timelines, assign and monitor workflow, and oversee and assign all aspects of projects from development to completion. Tracks and monitors. o Works with staff and faculty to identify needs, obstacles and issues, as well as potential solutions, securing buy-in and overseeing implementation. • Responsible for the development/improvement/documentation of processes and policies related to the following areas: o Space, security, IT, A/V, conference room management o Internal communications, shared recipient lists, intranet rollout o Departmental events o Faculty activity database maintenance and reporting (Works) o Annual faculty review o Faculty promotion o New faculty onboarding/orientation o Visitors/observers o Research support o Meeting scheduling/google calendar maintenance o Compensation plan and payments o Faculty leave of absence notification and reporting o Aggregates faculty performance metrics and expectations within the department, gathers information and writes reports on faculty performance for compensation, GME, OFA, and the Dean’s Office. o Develops and manages processes surrounding productivity, publication, clinical, and grant metrics for the department • Maintain current knowledge of relevant institutional policies, practices, and processes regarding faculty, academic affairs, and operations. Understand University, College, and unit missions and initiatives and incorporate them into daily work. Understand current University and College policy and procedures, ensuring that any changes essential to related responsibilities are reflected properly. • Document departmental operational processes and procedures, creates job aids for staff training, clarifies roles and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications: • BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight 8 years • Demonstrated ability to move multiple projects forward at the same time and meet deadlines • Demonstrated strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills • Ability to manage work amidst changing priorities and ambiguous environment • Experience comparing, verifying, and reconciling data to assess progress in meeting departmental objectives • Strong excel and/or data analytic skills • Proven ability to develop timelines, implement innovative business strategies, identify problems and solutions and conduct systemic process review and improvements • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying policies • Excellent analytical, operations, problem-solving, and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, and optimize complex processes
