Government Employees’ Benefit Association (GEBA) has an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing and Communications to become a member of a dynamic professional team. The Director is responsible for managing all marketing, communications, and PR for GEBA, GEBA Wealth Management, and the GEBA Scholarship Foundation. Using best-practice principles of service marketing and communications effectiveness, s/he will implement strategies to consistently incorporate the GEBA's brand into all customer/member touch-points, and measure results where possible. Brand elements include all printed and digital materials and the placement thereof (i.e. direct mail/email to members, GEBA signs, promotions, our newsletter Solutions content and design, ads, P.R., and websites for GEBA and GEBA Wealth Management).
This position calls for a strategic, proactive, technology savvy, energetic professional with a specific focus on the development and effective execution of the Association’s marketing and communications program with a focus on measurable goals.
This position will supervise the Marketing Assistant and outside vendors to include: Advertising agency, Public Relations firm, designers, writers, website company, SEO consultant, advertisement and media companies, proofreader, etc.
Proven written and verbal communication skills that effectively express new ideas and present facts and data in a manner that is clear and focused to a target audience.
Expert knowledge in the latest digital and social media technology and channels and how to best leverage for marketing programs as part of an overall strategy. Working knowledge of Google analytics.
Ability to apply marketing knowledge, analysis, and research into actionable marketing plans.
Excellent project management skills. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying timelines and deadlines.
Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email campaign systems, and social media platforms. Adobe Creative Suites, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus.
Minimum 10 years comprehensive marketing and/or communications management experience. Experience with associations, financial services, insurance, or employee benefits highly desired.
Some travel (air & car) and public speaking will be required.
