Pay Range: $148,706 per year or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary: The Associate Vice President for Development leads a highly effective fundraising program for the University of Idaho. The AVP works with the development team in partnership with Advancement leadership to develop an integrated, donor-centered Advancement program that provides quality engagement opportunities and builds investment in the university. In this highly collaborative role, the AVP partners with college and unit leaders to achieve fundraising goals. The AVP also hires, supervises, develops and advocates for the fundraising team.
10 years experience in fundraising, including demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and experience and success in planning, organizing and managing major fundraising programs and staff
5 years supervisory experience with direct reports
Demonstrated track record of securing major gifts
Fundraising campaign experience
Experience analyzing and interpreting information and independently solving complex problems
Masters degree in a discipline related to position responsibilities
Extensive experience in higher education fundraising and related university advancement areas
Experience developing fundraising materials including case statements, proposals, support materials, etc.
Public relations or marketing experience
Experience working in a complex university organization
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with database computer systems and applications, preferably with customer relationship management systems
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Willingness to travel and work odd hours and weekends
