The firm seeks a Communications/PR Specialist responsible for a variety of communications duties as part of CBRE's dynamic Mountain-Northwest Corporate Communications team. The specialist will provide execution support for MTN-NW PR/media relations, social media and internal communications initiatives. The position reports to the Communications & Media Manager, Mountain-Northwest Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES Public Relations Write and distribute press releases and other materials on a variety of topics, from notable deals and high-level promotions/new hires to market insights, CBRE research reports and additional thought leadership
Review written materials and proofread internal and external content to ensure appropriate branding and messaging
Maintain and update press lists and actively follow up with media
Actively seek out opportunities to position our professionals as experts to the media
Track and monitor media coverage; analyze metrics to develop targeted outreach
Work with Manager in execution of a PR strategy that aligns with business goals
Build strong working relationships with local CBRE professionals to understand each market's PR needs and goals
Social Media Manage and drive the strategy for local corporate Twitter accounts, including content creation and distribution
Liaise with regional and global social media counterparts to surface local content
Provide social media training and network activation assistance to the firm's professionals
Internal Communications Complete special projects as assigned
Manage content creation and dissemination for CBRE's office media walls
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Strong writing and communication skills. Able to foster relationships and communication with professionals across departments, as well as with media.
Ability to execute internal communications with a "digital first" attitude. Able to gain a thorough understanding of CBRE's internal digital platform and how to publish content.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of one year of related experience in PR, media, business writing, internal communications and social media. Experience with commercial real estate a plus.
