Responsible for advancing the College's comprehensive student recruitment plan to ensure that prospective students receive professional and exemplary service in keeping with the mission and goals of the college's recruitment and enrollment goals. Strong emphasis on customer service delivery via individual admission appointments and large forum selective and specialized admissions information sessions to promote the College's programs and recruit potential students. Efficient processing of transfer credit evaluations for all domestic, international and selective admission transfer students.
Examples of Duties:
Establishes and maintains a calendar of admissions/recruitment sessions to provide prospective students with a full range of admissions, financial aid, and basic skills placement testing and program information (both written and oral)
Handles admissions appointments and disseminates application materials to prospective students for general, selective, and international admissions to ensure prospective students receive timely and exemplary service during the recruitment and admission process
Knowledgeable of the full range of the College's transfer credit policies for domestic, international, military, advanced placement, dual-credit and credit for life-long learning in accordance with the College's transfer credit procedures
Hosts and presents information sessions for High School, Allied Health, International, and ESL prospective students
Counsels prospective, assists in collecting deposits, and processes admissions decisions on Rowan Choice students. Works closely with the Executive Director of Admission and Financial Aid on the Rowan Choice admissions program
Assists with coordinating joint responsibilities for "All College Day", Open House(s), and Nursing and Allied Health information sessions
Collaborates with admissions staff and public relations in preparation of recruitment literature and mailings
Reviews and maintains all Admissions letters and materials
Knowledgeable in all program areas including special and selective admissions
Processes selective admission portfolios for accuracy, transfer of course credit, and enters information into database.
Assists with processing international applications, collection of all required documents and maintaining international student's records.
Serves as the Designated Student Official (DSO) on the College's international admissions team
Assists in the processing of web based, standard and specialized admissions applications.
Participates in a variety of institutional committee activities and maintains involvement with professional groups or organizations relative to recruitment and marketing strategies, and new advising techniques or methods.
Performs a variety of admissions activities as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education preferred
Excellent face-to-face, verbal and written communicative skills and problem solving ability
Ability to communicate effectively with prospective students, public and colleagues.
Available to a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends
