Job Description 1. Assist Head, Islamic Product Development on management of Trade and Financing product matters. 2. Develop Islamic Wholesale Banking products as required by the Business. 3. Support Sales team/Relationship Managers to increase profitability and ensure smoothness of business. 4. Work together with Syariah unit and Risk Operational team to ensure potential issues related to Syariah and Risk are avoided. 5. Partner with Training to provide products training to relevant stakeholders, as and when required. 6. Ensure all Regulatory guidelines, internal policies and procedures pertaining to portfolio are implemented.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Development of Islamic Trade Financing and Wholesale asset products within the framework and regulations provided by regulatory bodies
Develop, position, price & plan for new/existing market segment/niches.
Understanding, review and re-engineer key processes to ensure that product is cost efficient and customer centric.
Develop the detailed business requirements for proposed new products and ownership of the system development, testing and deployment. Product Management
Continually review existing product range, processes and channels to ensure business volume, end to end turnaround time and efficiency.
Hold ownership of all relevant process documents, Departmental Operating Instructions (DOI), Process notes, Process Change Addendums and other relevant documents.
Ensure the compliance of existing products to regulatory guidelines, standards and instructions from the regulators or Shariah Advisory Committees.
Ensure all governance related documents relating to product renewals, risk acceptance documents, and operational documents are updated on time.
Build and manage relationship with internal / external stakeholders to create product differentiation.
Ownership of the product drivers and financials to maximize product profitability.
Maintaining product integrity, managing at all times product, legal, regulatory compliance and business risk and resolving all outstanding audit findings
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the technical details of products in order to support channels across in resolving customer queries or negotiating product changes or enhancements. Regular monitoring of product performance at the various channels.
Manage the product and support price proposition to ensure it fits with and delivers customer objectives and income targets.
Manage the entire product life cycle and coordinate with relevant departments to execute accordingly
