The Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Social Media (ADPR) at Suffolk University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Social Media/Public Relations at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2020 (pending final budgetary approval). The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in the strategies, tactics, tools, and metrics of Social Media, as well as additional courses in Public Relations and/or Advertising. Faculty responsibilities for this position include a total teaching load of five courses per academic year (typically three undergraduate and two graduate), advising and mentoring students, maintaining a productive research and publication agenda, and actively participating in the life of the department, college, and university through faculty committees and other activities.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Social Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing Communication, or related field (in hand by July 1, 2020). Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching excellence and professional experience.
