1.Drafts, formats, proofreads, and edits written matter for a variety of high-level print and electronic publications, including the annual report of donors, brochures, case statements, direct marketing pieces, magazines stories, newsletters, website pages, presentations, and other communications. 2.Drafts, formats, proofreads, and edits personalized stewardship reports. 3.Drafts, formats and edits dean's gift acknowledgment letters and other correspondence. 4.Working closely with key staff and individual gift officers, drafts and edits proposals for high level prospects covering a wide range of Law School initiatives. 5.Conducts accurate and thorough background research on donors, report recipients, gifts and pledges, and the students and professors featured in the annual reports. Gains a full understanding of the University's relationship with the donors and the purposes of their funds/gifts. 6.Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to gather information necessary for drafting and editing publication content. Organizes and maintains such information in files and databases. 7.For any writing project, selects the most appropriate information relative to a particular gift/fund and audience; customizes and personalizes each project according to the circumstances and the donors/recipients' relationship to Yale. 8.Proactively suggests process and procedure improvements, and ideas for enhanced publications and stewardship. 9.As assigned, perform special projects, including research and organizational initiatives.
