The Director of Development is a key member of the philanthropic team and plays a major role in efforts to secure new charitable gifts. Responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of 75-100 major gift prospects ($10,000 and up). Additionally, this person will play a key role in Carle's Grateful Patient and Family Philanthropy Program. Analytical skills, a mastery of the donor data base including prospect research, moves management and stewardship activities are critical. Knowledge of planned giving vehicles required. Serves in leadership role in the absence of the VP of Philanthropy.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Marketing or Bachelors Public Relations or Bachelors Communication or Bachelors Liberal Arts or Not for Profit/Fundraising experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver's License Proof of auto insurance
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three (3) Fund Raising or Three (3) Related Field
