Reporting to the Director of Communications providing support in the implementation of integrated communications to advance the College’s strategic goals and visibility.
Assist the Director of Communications and Director of Admission on brand identity implementation and messaging with adherence to brand identity.
Work to present Admission in a professional, engaging, and highly attractive manner to all stakeholders and constituent groups related to the college, including current and potential future students, faculty, staff, parents and others.
Support the Communications Office in delivering internal and external communications that are clear, particularly external communications related to the application timeline, collection of application materials, and deposit and enrollment procedures.
Collaborate with the Director of Communications in brainstorming new ideas, performing editing tasks and query checks, and coordinating some communication projects completely for Admission when the office is particularly busy or when distribution of such projects is appropriate per the Director of Communications.
Work with the Director of Communications and Director of Admission in ensuring that content is appropriate, clear and creative across all materials, print and digital.
Communicate with other offices on campus, as directed by the Director of Communications, to determine new student trends, faculty events and course offerings, CDO development, CCE efforts and DOSA operations so as to communicate thoroughly about the services existing and developing on campus.
Collaborate with campus colleagues (faculty and staff) and vendors in the planning, coordination and production of marketing initiatives, as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Maintain and print in-house materials, including hand-outs, application schedules, mailing labels, letters and any such tasks as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Ensure that the overall communications timeline is updated and shared with and understood by the admission and enrollment teams.
Assist with managing publication inventory ensuring that materials are in stock; notifying the Director of Communications when reordering is necessary.
Collaborate on the design and production of new videos, with the Director of Communication, Director of Admission, and videographers available from on or off campus.
As assigned, work in collaboration with the Director of Communications with publications to review materials in both content and design, passing along comments and mock ups to the Director of Admission for review.
Gain a solid understanding of the Delivery tool in Slate. Work closely with Director of Communications and IT, as well as Data Analysts on new tools, proofing work, analysis, and future development.
Work within Slate, including setting up campaigns and events, as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Support the work of the Communications office through continuous re-imagining of content distribution channels.
Receive training from the Slate/Enrollment team
Recruitment and Conversion Events/Tasks:
Support the Director of Communications with major events, most notably Accepted Students Day and Fall Open House.
Work with the Director of Communications in sending out invitations and other appropriate communications with counselors for recruitment and conversion events.
Assist the Director of Communications in running webinars, with the support of designated experts, for prospective students, families and guidance counselors.
During application reading season, work with the Director of Communications and the Administrative Assistant to coordinate communication efforts including but not limited to the faculty letter writing campaign.
This role is ideal for a collaborative and curious individual who has an interest in social media, online marketing, and communications.
Minimum of 3 years of marketing and communications experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of HTML.
Basic Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, Photoshop in particular.
Experience working with Instagram.
Experience creating animated-email-GIFs.
Must have initiative, be able to take and follow directions, be detail/task-oriented, willing to learn, able to handle multiple projects
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Participate in office tasks as assigned.
Willingness to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed.
