As a communicator and content producer, the Senior Digital Content Producer works closely with the Chief Communications Officer and the Senior Strategic Communication Advisor to plan, develop, and write strategic marketing and editorial content in support of the mission of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in order to build brand awareness and reputation. They will write, edit, and curate digital content across multiple digital platforms that engages students, faculty, alumni, stakeholders, and peers of the School. In collaboration with the Senior Strategic Communications Advisor, they will also develop, write, and implement strategic content marketing initiatives, including a social media strategy and an events marketing strategy. The Senior Digital Content Producer will also write and edit a suite of newsletters and events emails; create and/or edit and repackage original content for key integrated marketing materials spanning multiple channels and media, including landing pages, core website copy, video, infographics, digital ads, and articles; and research and write news stories and student, faculty, and alumni profiles for the School's news site. They will also serve as an integral participant in editorial planning and brainstorming discussions.
Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as lead editor for daily, weekly, and monthly e-newsletters
Write new content and curate existing content for quarterly newsletter sent to high-profile School stakeholders
Write student and alumni news stories for weekly and monthly e-newsletters
Track and report newsletter analytics
Develop and write a social media strategy for content across all Harvard Chan platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Strategically aligning with editorial calendar, write and post daily content to the Harvard Chan social channels (5-7 Twitter posts, 1-2 Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram posts)
Work with the multimedia director and photographer to cultivate more visual and arresting online and social media content
Identify new ways to talk and engage with Harvard Chan followers online, including monitoring social channels for trends and user feedback
Build native content (e.g. Instagram stories, event landing page interactive content) using existing web assets, and identify additional opportunities to repackage and leverage Harvard Chan's robust archive
Advise Harvard Chan faculty and staff on social strategies and ways to increase their individual social presence through webinars and in-person presentations
Write a marketing plan for all high-level events programming, including social media promotion strategy
Work with Senior Strategic Communications Advisor to execute plan for Dean's-level events throughout the year, including writing marketing materials for all high-level event programming and writing pre- and post-editorial content for website
Develop new storytelling methods to promote and amplify event attendance and reach, including multimedia presentations, media advisories, appeals letters, and more
The Senior Digital Content Producer will also work on additional duties and related projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
3+ years of related experience required
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in communications, journalism, or related field preferred
Demonstrated writing and editing talent, particularly online preferred
Experience with Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, and other digital marketing platforms preferred
Prior experience with SEO and using content management systems preferred
Experience working both independently and collaboratively in order to meet tight and competing deadlines preferred
Experience working collaboratively with partners across an organization, requiring strong organizational and communication skills preferred
Strong computer skills, including experience in Photoshop, WordPress, and Microsoft Office preferred
Demonstrated passion for great storytelling, digital innovation, and new technologies preferred
Commitment to issues and causes of public health preferred
