The Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication is looking for an Assistant Producer to join our small, but enthusiastic, team on the Rindge campus. Our center has been dedicated to educating leaders of conscience in public communication. The center also houses our nationally-recognized polling operation and the Pierce Media Group which includes the student-run newspaper, TV studio and the Raven Sports Broadcasting Network. As Assistant Producer, your role would be to interface with our on-campus and off-campus constituents, coordinate and assist with delivery of the Fitzwater Center’s academic support functions, coordinate the scheduling and work assignments for student workers, interns and volunteers. The role also requires you to work with other staff to produce live events, student and field productions, as well as provide primary technical and programmatic support.
Experience and Qualifications:
The skills and ability that you will bring with you include:
Two + years in audio and video production,
One + years in a producing role,
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field,
An ability to work collaboratively, transparently and with enthusiasm – even when in high-pressure situations,
Possess a professional presence and positive attitude,
Initiative and drive to produce professional-level production values,
Ability to problem-solve, with great time management and organization skills,
And an ability to travel for the University, as needed.
