Departmental Overview: The UK Investment Banking team manages and leads all of Credit Suisse UK corporate client relationships with support from industry and product teams across IBD. The team comprises the UK banking coverage team and the UK corporate broking team.
A Corporate Broker is a formal appointment recognised by the UK regulators, and they are key advisers to a UK company's Chairman, CEO, CFO, IR and Board on all equity market related matters. Most large cap UK companies have two Corporate Brokers. CS acts as Corporate Broker to 11 FTSE100 companies and > 20 FTSE 250 and UK / Irish mid cap companies.
Key responsibilities of the role:
You will be covering a wide range of clients on equity markets and corporate finance issues at senior levels (senior executive and Board).
You will provide ongoing advice to corporate clients on equity markets, investor perception and corporate communications, share trading and ownership and regulatory requirements.
Corporate finance analysis of corporate transactions, capital raises, capital distribution and other situations.
Regulatory interpretation and management; provision of sponsor advice and support as set out in the UK Listing Rules.
You will take care of all aspects of client investor marketing in close coordination with Equity Sales.
You will contribute to the distribution of client equity transactions to the market in support of primary and secondary share deals.
Management of Analysts; coordinates Analysts work on projects, develop Analysts through delegation of responsibility, prioritise for Analysts as well as yourself.
You Offer Technical / business skills & knowledge:
Ideally you should have a 2.1 or 1st (or international equivalent) from a leading University
ACA / ACCA qualification, and experience at one of the top 4 accounting firms is desirable, or experience as a qualified lawyer
You will need proficient knowledge and awareness of equity markets and corporate finance
You should be able to produce excellent written materials, and communicate effectively both written and verbally
The ability to utilize technical skills and knowledge to solve problems and give advice
You will need to have excellent organisational and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build and retain relationships internally and externally, and communicate with clients professionally
You should be able to present in a measured, clear, articulate manner
Excellent modelling and technical skills are important
This role will require ongoing certification under the Certification Regime
