This new role, Employer Brand Director, will lead the global marketing strategy and communications for CBRE's People function. This role will dual report to Global Marketing and Corporate Communications, and directly support the People team working directly with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and her global leadership team. The position will report directly to the Vice President, Internal and Employee Communications and the new head of Brand Strategy.
This role will be responsible for developing a vision for the new People brand including positioning, key programs to attract and retain talent and defining a new employee experience including driving all internal and external communications. This role will partner closely with the new People Experience leader and collaborate to define and support the CBRE employee experience throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle. This role will be key to ensuring that People employees around the world are well informed about key projects and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing and communications professional who is collaborative, creative, organized, eager to learn and thrives on executing multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate will bring creativity, digital savvy, professional business communication and brand storytelling capabilities, and be capable of implementing programs across multiple internal and external channels.
Work closely with and serve as a strategic advisor to People team leaders and other top executives to define and communicate the CBRE employee experience to a global employee base of more than 90,000 employees.
Provide guidance and recommendations to CPO to define and articulate a personal brand and departmental brand. Develop and implement strategies to reinforce the brand internally and externally.
Partner with the Corporate Communications and Marketing teams to leverage the company's messaging platform, communications infrastructure and brand.
Oversee global People team communications, including strategy, planning, development, coordination and execution of all internal and external messaging and creative assets.
Manage the People communications team consisting of four professionals.
Ensure employee messaging is consistent with and designed to build engagement around the corporate business strategy.
Support organizational and operational changes throughout the company. Act as a change agent who sees change as an opportunity.
Anticipate and proactively address communications issues, working with Corporate Communications to ensure effective and timely resolution. Help respond to crises as needed.
Develop and manage an editorial calendar to organize People communications.
Prioritize, synthesize and coordinate information dissemination to ensure communications are delivered on the right platforms, to the right audiences and at the right time while ensuring different functional and urgent company messages are not competing with one another.
Track metrics to determine effectiveness of messaging and communication channels
Oversee production of People team town halls, webcasts and other events as needed. Write executive message points and scripts, and oversee production of event presentation materials.
Manage applications/nominations for employer of choice, workplace and other People-related awards and rankings.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years marketing and communications experience.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Does basic calculations and understands basic financial terms.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
