Coordinator, Communications. CTIA – The Wireless Association® is seeking a Coordinator to join our Communications team in Washington, D.C. CTIA represents the U.S. wireless communications industry and the companies throughout the mobile ecosystem that enable Americans to lead a 21st century connected life. The association’s members include wireless carriers, device manufacturers, suppliers as well as apps and content companies. CTIA vigorously advocates at all levels of government for policies that foster continued wireless innovation and investment. The association also coordinates the industry’s voluntary best practices, hosts educational events that promote the wireless industry and co-produces the industry’s leading wireless tradeshow.
SUMMARY: To provide outreach and editorial support to the Public Affairs team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):
Maintain Excel documents that track media inquiries, consumer requests and CTIA mentions.
Assist in coordination of special CTIA news media events, such as press conferences, Hill events, and policy luncheons.
Monitor news story clip service and/or daily news publications for wireless-related stories of interest; format scans to be distributed to CTIA staff and consultants.
Monitor daily news publications to identify relevant local media members and supervise database records of writers, publications and CTIA contacts.
Provide editorial assistance (proofread, fact-find, produce templates, etc.) for all CTIA and subsidiary organizations, including digital content (AP-style).
Website/Social Media Maintenance:
Assist with updating CTIA.org (and other websites as needed) calendar of events, research, quick facts, and other areas as assigned.
Post social media updates as directed (e.g., LinkedIn, Google+, etc.).
Post releases and updated information to websites.
Assemble report on monthly social and website analytics.
III. Administrative Support:
Assist with phones, scheduling, billing and expenses.
Maintain project management tracker in consultation with SVP, Communications and communications team.
Coordinate with vendors for supplies and services, including office supplies, stationery, shipping, teleconference services, copying, CD/video duplicating services and publication subscriptions and creative production.
Copying, typing, filing, faxing, media database entry and management.
Assist with scheduling, information distribution, requests and meetings with CTIA members.
Collect and distribute information as requested and as appropriate about, to and for CTIA.

Demonstrated proficiency with word processing and knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Sitefinity and Wordpress preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
4-year college degree required.
Detail-oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation. Proficiency in proofreading skills and strong communications skills are required.
