The Department of Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations at Boston University seeks to hire a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication who would teach and conduct research in Advertising and/or Public Relations. The ideal candidate will have started building a scholarly reputation on social media management and social media analytics.
Additionally, it is hoped candidates will be willing and able to play an active role in the Zimmerman Family Social Media Newsroom, a high-tech lab and classroom that permits the social scientific study of social media trends. The successful candidate will become a Research Fellow in BU's Communication Research Center.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in communication or a related field as well as an active program of social science research and the demonstration of potential for continued research productivity. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on social media as well as Advertising and/or Public Relations courses.
