We are seeking a professional like you to provide Strategic HR support to CP (Petrochemicals) regional manufacturing sites which, due to their size and/or complexity, and/or the composition of the workforce (e.g. large temporary labor or contract labor pools), require an HR presence. Through predictive analytics and active engagement enables a site leader and his/her leadership team in the areas of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Engagement, Talent and Culture.
In this role, you will identify needs and strategically contract for the delivery of services through effective alignment with HR CoEs, Labor Relations, Core Talent Solution Delivery Teams, and myHR. You will own and be accountable for identifying and delivering site sustainable solutions, leveraging continuous improvement, inclusion concepts and the HR model, while collaborating and partnering with all levels of management and employees as needed. You will be a member of the CP HR leadership team, p utting customers first and enabling a winning together environment, to deliver on the Human Capital Strategy and business priorities.
Additionally, you will influence for impact and plan and manage solution delivery resources. You will also act as a coach for and consult with site leaders, their leadership teams, managers and employees. In partnership with CoEs and solution delivery teams, you will co-create strategies to address challenges related to employee relations, labor relations, engagement, talent and culture at the site level in alignment with the Human Capital Strategy.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
You will use your skills and education to:
Share local engagement pulse, insights and trends with the Strategic HR Business Advisor (SHRBA) in order to shape human capital strategy
Identify opportunities to shape Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Engagement, Talent and Culture strategies at a site level and actively collaborate and partner with site to deliver sustainable solutions.
Strategically contract for the delivery of HR solutions at a site or sites, with CoEs, CTST, Labor Relations and myHR as needed.
Partner in the approach and delivery of solutions, as appropriate, with the verbund HR resources.
Ensures support from and alignment with corresponding SHRBA and other relevant functions such as Legal and EHS; spots trends and critical issues facing assigned locations; and recommends solutions to address site needs. Performs effective workforce analytics with Visier or similar tool, to proactively identify issues and take immediate action, in the areas of:
Hot line complaints
Safety (Occupational Safety (ESI),
Compliance with site policies, practices and guidelines (e.g. Operational Discipline, Hours of Service, Fatigue Management, and Transitions @Work)
Labor Relations (Cornwall)
Works closely with SHRBA, CoEs, and Labor Relations team, to identify trends related to critical issues and support the creation and implementation of strategies to support the site in the areas of:
Collective bargaining, and related operational topics such as discipline, grievances, arbitration
Operational disciplinary procedures and processes
With support from HR functional groups, ensures actions to attain and maintain a high level of employee engagement at the sites through coordination, ownership and oversight that includes:
Leveraging CoE tools/programs through solution delivery to drive employee engagement
Identifying needs for manager capability building at the site level, contracting for and delivering solutions to ensure a robust pipeline of future leaders for BASF
Identifying needs for site employee communications, and contracting for and delivering solutions
Receiving from CoE(s) external labor market pulse for trends, and including results in strategy planning
Identifying need for union avoidance solutions, and contracting with CoE to provide them
Contracting for site talent planning solutions as needed
Coordinates with the SHRBA and Labor Relations team's resources to create and sustain a great employee experience, contracting with CoEs and solution delivery teams to drive:
Site leader coaching and development
Site employee development & technical skill building
Employer value proposition
General Employee Resource Groups
Community and other external partnerships
Minimum of 8+ years progressively responsible HR experience in a complex manufacturing environment
Bachelor's degree required
Demonstrated ability to: leverage multiple resources and expertise throughout the HR organization
Demonstrated ability effectively operating in a virtual environment.
Demonstrated results in developing and delivering innovative HR solutions with impact based outcomes
Effective allocation of time management across coverage area
Willingness to travel 50%
